My business is a little unusual, so I get a lot of people who come in to my store to check things out.
This is great because it gives me an opportunity to make some small talk and get to know our customer base.
The first week we were open, I had a father and son come in to see what the place was all about. The son was maybe late 30s, early 40s, and the father was at least 60, maybe 70 (I am a horrible judge of age).
They were very nice and things were going well, until the father turned to me and said, "So you're the little girl who did all this?"
I understand that, in his eyes, this was a compliment, but come on. Little girl? Okay, you old prick.
Greatest generation my ass.
